Projectia Privacy Policy

Welcome to Projectia!

This policy we created to help you understand what information we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have regarding your information. We welcome any questions or comment you have regarding this policy.

Collection of Information?

We collect information in two ways:

1) When you give it to us or give us permission to obtain it.

When you sign up for or use our products, you voluntarily give us certain information. This can include your name, profile photo, project information, comments, likes, location information, email address you used to sign up, and any other information you provide us.

You also may give us permission to access your information in other services – for example, you may link your Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn account to Projectia, which allows us to obtain information from those accounts (e.g., your friends or contacts). The information we obtain from those services often depends on your settings as well as the privacy policies of those platforms, so be sure to check what those are.

2) We get technical information when you use our products.

Whenever you use a website, mobile application, or other Internet service, there’s certain information that almost always gets created and recorded in an automated way. The same is true when you use our products, where we may collect information through cookies, logged data and device information.

Cookies are small pieces of information which are issued to your computer when you visit a website and which store and sometimes track information about your use of the Service. Projectia uses cookies to help recognize you as a repeat visitor, to improve the quality of our Service, and to try and make your browsing experience meaningful. When you enter our Site, our web server sends a cookie to your computer which allows us to recognize your computer but not specifically who is using it. By associating the identification numbers in the cookies with other customer information when, for example, you log-in to the Service, then we know that the cookie information relates to you. Some of the cookies used by our Service are served by us, and some are served by third parties who are delivering services on our behalf. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies but, if you prefer, you can change your browser to prevent that or to notify you each time a cookie is set. You can also learn more about cookies by visiting www.allaboutcookies.org which includes additional useful information on cookies and how to block cookies using different browsers. By blocking or deleting cookies used on our Service, you may not be able to take full advantage of our Service.

Using this information

We use the information we collect to provide our products to you and make them better, develop new products, and protect Projectia and our users. We also use the information we collect to offer you customized content – including helping you discover new projects you might like or provide you with tailored advertising. The provision of these products and services may require using and/or sharing your information with third parties, consistent with the terms of this Privacy Policy and your specific account settings. For the avoidance of doubt, please be aware that in the event you deactivate your account (see below), Projectia retains the right and ability to share aggregated information about your activity on the platform to enhance its products and services in the future.

We also use the information we collect to:

The information we collect may be “personally identifiable” or “non-personally identifiable”. We use both types of information, and combinations of both types, as described above. We may use or store information wherever Projectia does business, including countries outside your own.

Under no circumstances will we intentionally send you notifications, notices, emails, text messages, or other forms of communication in relation to opportunities that you have specifically opted not to receive in your account settings.

What choices do you have about your information?

Our goal is to give you simple and meaningful choices over your information. If you have a Projectia account, many of the choices you have on our site are built directly in to the product or your account settings. For example, you can:

In addition, you may have choices available to you through the device or software you use to access Projectia i.e. your browser or mobile device. To learn more about these choices, please see the information provided by the device or software provider.

Information Sharing

Projectia is a tool people use to share and create projects enabling them to realize their dreams and inspire others. When you create a profile and post a project anyone can view them. The limited instances where we may share your personal information include:

We may also share aggregated or non-personally identifiable information with our partners or others.

Our Policy on Children’s Information

Projectia is not directed to children under 15. We take reasonable steps to (i) prevent underage users from gaining access to Projectia and (ii) cancel the accounts of underage users immediately. However, due to the open nature of modern information networks and the difficulties inherent in confirming identity online, we cannot be responsible for any unauthorized sharing of personal information undertaken by an individual who has not yet reached our minimum age requirement. If you learn that your minor child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us.

Changes to this policy

We may change this policy from time to time, and if we do we’ll post any changes on this page. If you continue to use Projectia after those changes are in effect, you agree to the revised policy. If the changes are significant, we may, at our sole and exclusive discretion, provide more prominent notice or obtain your consent as required by law.
